white water rafting

On th 18th of December 2011, Omni Group Sdn Bhd had organized a White Water Rafting activity. The activity was carried out at Kuala Kubu Bahru. The course includes Rapids and fast flowing rivers that was sure to test the nerves of the participants. The purpose of the activity was to foster good teamwork among the staff of OMNI, create closer bonds and cooperation among staff and take a time off to relax and raise the spirits of employees. The half day event was attended by 15 staff of OMNI Group Sdn Bhd in total, this activity will certainly leave sweet memories of those who participated.

OMNI MARISSA AND OMNI STELLA 2011
Presently OMNI Group of companies owns & operates a fleet of 10 vessels. Both Omni Marissa & Omni Stella are the additional two new offshore support vessels of OMNIs fleet.
OMNI MARISSA
Omni Marissa is the 11th offshore support vessel of OMNIs fleet.
She is 60m with deck space of 390m2, a DP-1 with 72mt Bollard Pull. She is driven by 5220 HP main engine and is an Anchor Handling cum with Towing Winch.
Omni Marissa features bulk handling system with tank capacities is suitable to support for handling bulk material such as cement, Barite and Bentonite. She can accommodate of 40 personnel on board.
Omni Marissa was launched on 17th May 2011 and has taken delivery on 22nd September 2011.
Omni Marissa is suitable giving support services such as Anchor Handling/ Fire fighting services/ Fresh water and bunker supply/ Crew Change /Accommodation & Emergency standby services and various other marine services.
OMNI STELLA
Omni Stella is the latest addition to OMNIs fleet.
She is 61.2m, a DP1 Anchor Handling Tug Supply boat with 70t Bollard Pull. She is driven by 5220 BHP main engine.
Omni Stella was launched on 27th September 2011 tentatively scheduled to deliver on 15th December 2011.
Omni Stella is equipped with fire fighting system FiF1 Class 1 and has Cargo capacities with deck equipment/life saving/HSE equipment features. She can accommodate of 48 personnel on board. Navigation & communication and emergency life saving apparatus are accordance to SOLAR, IMO regulations.
With the additional of the two new vessels added to existing fleet is expected to enable OMNI Group of Companies stays competitive to provide compelling value proposition to prospective customers in the coming years.
2011 Children Day with Dyslexia Centre Malaysia

In conjunction with 2011 Children Day, Omni Group of companies co-organize a Community Service Project called "Children's Day Carnival" with Dyslexia Center Malaysia, Ampang Hilir branch on 16th October 2011.
This event is to express Omni's Corporate Citizenship towards Corporate Social Responsibility and raised awareness among Omni's staff and their families to support on Dyslexia children & program.

HARI RAYA 2011

Omni has continue to play its role in supporting the community by contributing MYR20, 000 to Persatuan Kanser Network Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan (KanWork).
KanWork is an outreach activity of the UPM-Cornell Collaborative Cancer Education and Research Project (CaEd) that aims at providing support and information for people diagnosed with breast cancer, those interested in or undergoing or has undergone treatment options (e.g. lumpectomy, mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy) and those interested or taking care of cancer-diagnosed family member or friend.
KanWork hopes to improve cancer awareness among Malaysians through local and culturally appropriate educational programs. KanWork strives to empower cancer survivors by building up their self-confidence, which can suffer a severe blow from the weakness or disability that cancer can bring.
The contribution was officially made to Prof. Dr. Rosnani Abu Bakar from KanWork, at Omni's Hari Raya celebration which was held in De Palma Hotel, on 21st September 2011.
FAMILY DAY 2011

The Omni Group of Companies had its annual Family Day gathering recently. This year's event was held at the Felda Residence Tekam, Jerantut Pahang from 1st - 3rd July 2011. Total participation of employees & family members was 110. One of the objectives of the annual get together is to reflect on the importance of striking a balance between family-life along side our careers and sharing our success with them. This was also a great way for us to leave work and just spend some quality time together.
The management thanks its employees & families for their cooperation and contribution to making the event a successful & meaningful one.
